What’s a top target of garage thieves?

Cold beer. Suburban police seem to deal with beer bandits each summer. Teenagers boosting beer may think they have just been extra bold, but it is a serious crime. Entering someone’s garage is the same as entering someone’s home which is a felony. It just seems easier to pull off because a big wide door is open, and left open a lot in warm weather when the household’s children are in and out.

That’s just the first part, the second is what happens after the beer is consumed. Underage kids collecting garage beers, no IDs, no cash, no questions is just a recipe for a bigger problem.

Locating that dusty fridge in a less visible and accessible spot or dumbing up the front to look like something else, could thwart any thieves and maybe prevent a neighborhood kid from driving drunk.
